Serafina’s Saga Walkthrough

Find out how to achieve unique endings with specific characters in the Serafina’s Saga visual novel by clicking the names below. Be forewarned: this walkthrough is rife with spoilers, and is intended for people who have already played the game at least once!

Nikolaos Ending

To achieve a romance with Nikolaos, make the following choices when prompted:

1. When Nikolaos asks, “So then, what’ll it be?” Answer: “Thank him for helping me” (+1 point)
2. When he asks, “How about another smile for the road, eh?” Choose: “Give him the prettiest, warmest smile I can manage” (+2 points, or “Smile again” for +1 point)
3. If you have several more points with Nikolaos than Valerie, Serafina will automatically talk to Nikolaos when she storms out of the cabin. If the points are close, you can decide for yourself. Choose “Talk to Nikolaos”
4. When Nikolaos asks, “Do you believe that much, at least?” Reply: “Yes” (+5 points)
5. You will get to choose who holds the key for you while you enter Castle Krondolee in disguise. Choose: “Give it to Nikolaos” (+10 points)
6. By the time the Serafina sets out for Castle Krondolee, you need to have achieved at least 14 points with Nikolaos for him to kiss Serafina on the cheek
7. Jezu will ask if you want to spar. Choose: “Nikolaos is right. I should quit while I’m ahead.” (+2 points). *Note: You can still spar with Jezu and achieve the full Nikolaos ending if you have gotten enough points with Nikolaos elsewhere
8. Shortly after Nikolaos shows up shirtless, he says you need to relax, and says “I could… show you a thing or two, if you’d like.” Reply: “Why not?” (+5 points)
9. Later, if you have at least 15 points with Nikolaos, he will ask Serafina to go on a “date.” Reply: “Yes” (+5 points)
10. Depending on Serafina’s relationship with the other characters, Arken may give you the option to ask other characters for help. If you select another character, Nikolaos will force you to choose between them. Choose Nikolaos

Reuben Ending

Reuben likes a challenge. To achieve Reuben’s (questionable) devotion, make the following choices:

1. Shortly after you meet him, Reuben says, “Do you know what to do with that big spear in your hands? Or is it just to taunt me?” Choose: “Oh I can certainly use it. Would you like me to demonstrate?” (+1 point)
2. Reuben accidentally says some slander about King Kallias, then asks you not to tell anyone. Reply: “You can’t tell me what to do” (+3 points)
3. Reuben asks “Do you know who won the key, cherry tart?” Reply: “Stop calling me cherry tart!”” (+3 points)
4. Reuben tries to get a private audience with Arken, and claims that Serafina “…is under my complete control. Aren’t you, my little cherry tart?” For once, submission is the best choice here. Reply: “Yes” (+10 points)
5. In the Elborn Gardens, if you have at least 13 points with Reuben, he will say, “Easy, cherry tart. If I didn’t know any better I’d think you were starting to like me.” Reply: “Well, you’re still a bastard” (+3 points)
6. If you have at least 16 points with Reuben by this point, he will kiss Serafina on the neck
7. Depending on Serafina’s relationship with the other characters, Arken may give you the option to ask other characters for help. Choose Reuben

Jezu Ending

Jezu likes women who are strong but loyal to certain principles. To achieve the Jezu ending:

1. During the scene when you first meet Jezu, there will be an awkward silence, and Serafina will wonder, “What should I say?” Choose: “I will gladly do all you require.” (+1 point)
2. Jezu will ask if you want to spar. Choose: “Very well, I’ll spar with Jezu.” (+5 points). Note that this choice takes 2 points from Nikolaos
3. Near the end of the sparring match, Jezu asks if you want to keep fighting. Choose: “Go at him with everything I’ve got” (+5 points)
4. Jezu talks to Serafina in her chambers and says “…someone like Nikolaos only helps you for his own gain.” Choose: “Agree that Jezu might be right” (+3 points)
5. Serafina makes some unsavory comments about King Kallias’s court. Jezu warns her, “Speak ill of him one more time, and you can forget about your chances of becoming a Royal Guard.” Reply: “I’m sorry” (+5 points)
6. You need at least 15 points with Jezu to get the option to kiss his cheek. You can hold back if you’d like, but choose “Kiss his cheek” for +10 more
7. Later, if you have at least 15 points with Jezu, he will ask Serafina to go on a “date.” Reply: “Yes” (+5 points)
8. Depending on Serafina’s relationship with the other characters, Arken may give you the option to ask other characters for help. Choose Jezu

Valerie Ending

Valerie likes people who are honest. To achieve a romance with Valerie, make the following choices:

1. When Valerie asks, “I like knowledge. But how did you acquire it?” Answer: “Tell her the truth” (+1 point)
2. When Valerie asks, “What do you think of the food?” Answer: “Tell her the truth: I don’t really like it” (+1 point)
3. When Valerie asks, “So then, who are you really, and who is your Papa?” Answer: “Tell her everything I know” (+1 point)
4. If you have several more points with Valerie than Nikolaos, Serafina will automatically talk to Valerie when she storms out of the cabin. If the points are close, you can decide for yourself. Choose “Talk to Valerie”
5. When Valerie asks, “Do you see what I’m saying?” Reply: “I… I think so” (+5 points)
6. You will get to choose who holds the key for you while you enter Castle Krondolee in disguise. Choose: “Give it to Valerie” (+10 points)
7. By the time the Serafina sets out for Castle Krondolee, you need to have achieved at least 14 points with Valerie for her to kiss Serafina on the cheek
8. When Serafina reunites with Valerie in the Elborn Gardens, Valerie says that she has missed you. Reply: “I’ve missed you, too.” (+3 points)
9. Valerie points out a lot of crazy stuff is going on in Castle Krondolee. Reply: “There’s a lot to explain, but if you really want to hear about it…” (+5 points)
10. Later, if you have at least 15 points with Valerie, she will ask Serafina to go on a “date.” Reply: “Yes” (+5 points)
11. Depending on Serafina’s relationship with the other characters, Arken may give you the option to ask other characters for help. If you select another character, Valerie will force you to choose between them. Choose Valerie

Kallias Ending

If you wish to marry the king of gold, don’t form a romantic relationship with any other character (or if you do, refuse to go on a date with any of them). Kallias will realize that Serafina is desparate and attempt to sweep her off her feet. (*Note: if you get to this point and still refuse Kallias, Serafina will go back to the jungle, all alone)

Arken’s Fate

Arken will live or die depending on whether or not you decide to give him the key to the Grand Keep. If you want him to live, give him the key. Your first chance to do this is when they first reunite in the Elborn Gardens. If you refuse to give it to him then, he will ask you for it once more after capturing Belatrix. If you refuse him both times, he will die in the events that unfold.
