Jenny Gibbons – Graphic Design

As the lead visual designer at Woodsy Studio, I make crucial graphic design decisions regarding the user interface, typography, and HUD elements. I design titles and logos to fit the spirit of each game. I also do freelance work outside of Woodsy Studio where I create icons, layouts, and logos to fit the associated brands.

Websites

Choosing the right color palette, typography, and shapes for a website is an important and creative process I enjoy. Sometimes you want a look that’s simple and clean; other times you want to make a bold, memorable statement. I chose a bolder look for my personal web portfolio, as seen here, where you can find other examples of my web design work.

User Interfaces

Example 1:

Screenshot of Crimson Spires title menu

For Crimson Spires, I wanted the game to be reminiscent of old horror games. The menu has a slight horror and retro feeling.

Example 2:

For Echoes of the Fey: The Last Sacrament, I chose a clean, high-contrast UI scheme to stand out against intricate backgrounds.

Example 3:

For a tabletop-style RPG game, I designed a user interface to contrast a simplistic background. I also wanted to the UI to give the feeling of playing with physical board pieces.

Digital to Print

I have drawn and prepared brochures, posters, bookmarks, postcards, and more for print to distribute at gaming conventions or other promotional events.
